OraStream Connect ingests 16-bit/44.1kHz and higher resolutions up to 24-bit/192kHz lossless files (FLAC or WAV) and encodes them in MPEG-4 SLS for its content origin. As MPEG-4 SLS is lossless audio coding, it can be used in applications that require bit-exact reconstruction, such as studio operation, audio archiving, lossless music delivery, etc.,

In effect, this is how lossless downloads are delivered by OraStream Connect. Based upon the download format request of users, Connect reconstructs (from MPEG-4 SLS) downloads in FLAC, ALAC, WAV and AIFF for delivery on-demand.
